It gives us great pleasure to welcome David R. Slayton as the guest on Episode 250 – A Bloody Little Windup Toy!

David R. Slayton joins us for a great conversation about his upcoming work, White Trash Warlock. It’s a laugh-laden exploration of his philosophy about queer writing, own voices, allies and publishing in general. PLUS! We have the longest blooper/outtake in WROTE’s history! Well worth the listen.

Bio:

David Slayton grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where finding fantasy novels was pretty challenging and finding fantasy novels with diverse characters was downright impossible. Now he lives in Denver, Colorado and writes the books he always wanted to read.

In addition to writing, he has taught workshops and appeared on panels at Denver Comic Con, the Pikes Peak Writers Conference, the League of Utah Writers Quills Conference, and the Seymour Agency Winter Retreat.
